"fooling around" is the ongoing documentary photo series of the young Berlin based photographer Vincent Wechselberger. They photograph their queer group of friends in moments of joy, closeness and rapture. 
 In the age of individualism and an increasingly globalized society, there is a lack of real connection. Many people, the queer community in particular, are looking for their respective place in today's society, creating niches and asserting themselves. 


Wechselberger ́s photos were taken in a safer space, a protected space where intimacy and closeness become possible. 

Through this series, the young photographer provides insight into their safe space. Furthermore, they want to offer the queer community space to show bodies and corporeality. The work serves visibility and shows the necessity of feelings of belonging in today's society.
